Next Friday, December 6, the Vicente Chancay Velodrome, in the department of Pocito, will be the scene of a new sporting event: the San Juan 2024 Badminton Tournament.
With a doubles format for both women and men, this tournament has been designed to involve young people in the Under 14 (born between 2010 and 2012) and Under 16 (born between 2008 and 2009) categories.
The appointment will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and registration is completely free. This tournament will also mark a milestone, as it will be the first amateur badminton tournament in the province of San Juan, an event that seeks to promote and give visibility to this unconventional sport that, despite being less known in the region, is gaining land in remote departments such as Caucete, 25 de Mayo and 9 de Julio.
In addition to the competition, a badminton clinic will be offered for those who do not fall within the competitive categories.
This clinic will be an excellent opportunity to learn, practice and enjoy this sport that more and more young people are adopting, promoting integration and physical development. The invitation is open to all teenagers interested in learning more about badminton.
To participate, interested parties must contact the number 264 507 8272 to register.
