Three officers from the Local Police of Perugia achieved a brilliant result in the recent Italian Csen judo championships, held in Riccione. Federico Sabatini, Francesco Brunori and Giovanni Garofalo brought home a total of three medalsdemonstrating their talent in this sporting discipline.
Sabatini, third dan black belt, obtained a bronzewhile his colleagues, Brunori (I dan black belt) and Garofalo (blue belt), reached the top step of the podium, both winning the gold medal. An exceptional result that not only rewarded them on an individual level, but contributed to the overall triumph of the Sakura Judo Ponte San Giovanni club, with which they train regularly.
The competition, which saw the participation of 150 companies from all over Italy, declared Sakura Judo the absolute national champion, thanks also to the commitment of the three athletes from Perugia. The satisfaction for the prestigious goal achieved was shared by the three officers, who serve at the Fontivegge unit of the Local Police of Perugia.
There was no shortage of institutional recognition: Nicoletta Caponi, commander of the Local Police force, expressed her pride and complimented the officers for the important sporting success. This achievement, in fact, represents not only personal merit, but also an example of dedication and team spirit which well reflects the values of the body to which one belongs.
