The Torrevieja City Council, reaffirming its commitment to the promotion of base sport and high performance, has allocated a budget of 400,000 euros to support local sports clubs and their athletes in their participation in federated competitions during the year 2024.
This investment has allowed the participation of Torrevejenses athletes in competitions at regional, national and international level, thus promoting the sports development of the city and valueing the talent of our athletes.
Beneficiaries of subsidies
A total of 31 sports clubs in Torrevieja have benefited from these financial aid, among which are:

Thanks to these subsidies, Torrevieja sports clubs have been able to face the expenses derived from participation in federated competitions such as inscriptions, displacements, equipment, purchase of sports material, etc., guaranteeing optimal conditions for training and competition.
In addition, participation in federated competitions encourages the sports base, attracting new athletes and promoting the practice of sport from an early age, placing Torrevieja on the sports map demonstrating the high level of Torrevejenses athletes in the different disciplines.
The Department of Sports, aware of the importance of sport for the health and well -being of citizens, will continue to bet that this line of grants continues in the coming years to help local clubs that are so good work for the Torrevejean sport and their athletes.
