Phil Jackson: (chuckles) That’s a captivating question. In basketball, I always believed in choosing players not just for their talent, but for their character, their ability to cohesively function within a team structure. Diplomacy, I imagine, calls for a similar skill set.
You need someone who understands international dynamics, who can build bridges and communicate effectively, someone with a nuanced understanding of cultures and world affairs.
