Not only the province of Brescia, but also Trentino among the latest destinations of the Ryu Judo Vallecamonica, protagonist with its athletes also in some new events. On Saturday 9 November, young Andrea Bernardi – working for Flavio Testa’s club, but also a member of Lotta Brescia – contributed to the result obtained by his team in the Italian Greco-Roman wrestling cup held in Trentino Alto Adige. The following day, Giorgio Bella was also a protagonist in Segrate, on the occasion of the second stage of the “Judo Youth League” dedicated to the Under 18s. Among the cadets, for him he won one match and lost two: a result that allows Bella to take home a silver medal. On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November I return to friendly territory for the Camunian team that took part in the opening race of the Italian Trophy Rookies category in Roncadelle with the Iotu twins. Florin – on stage in the 40 kg category – ranked ninth out of thirty participants. Good performance also for his brother Sebastian, who stopped in 11th place in the 36 kg category. It doesn’t end here, because again on Sunday 17 November the judokas of Ryu Judo participated in the first edition of the “Sambo Brixia Open”: in this case two gold medals won by Andrea Facchini and Andrea Bernardi, with the latter capable of winning also a bronze. Also noteworthy is the third overall position achieved by Ryu in a context to which it was certainly not accustomed, testifying to the great work carried out by the staff and athletes of the Camuna club.
