A Vercelli took place”Piemonte Awards” awards ceremony for sporting excellence of 2024, organized by the Regional Committee of Italian Baseball Softball Federation.
Clubs, teams, athletes, coaches, technical collaborators, journalists and other personalities were awarded within the Modo Hotel for their deeds and performances during the year 2024. Present at the ceremony were Domenico Sabatino, deputy mayor with responsibility for sport, Laura Musazzo provincial delegate of Coni of Vercelli, Marco Mannucci federal councilor of Fibs, Sabrina Olivero president of CR Piemonte and federal councilor of Fibs, regional councilors Isabella Dalbesio and Paolo Murgia; Among those present was also Giuseppe Guilizzoni, a reference figure in Novara baseball.
They were remembered Nadia Conti and Ernesto Wong, historical figures of Piedmontese softball and baseball who passed away in 2024, awarded certificates of merit to the Avigliana Rebels for promotion to Serie A Baseball and to JFK Baseball Mondovì for promotion to Serie B.
Here are the winners from Vercelli: Regional baseball championships: Under 15 Vercelli; Piedmont baseball cup: Under 15 Avigliana Bees–Vercelli; MVP of the Regions Junior league baseball tournament in Jofré Garcia (Vercelli); Azzurrini award to Patrick Silva (Vercelli baseball); Azzurrini under 12 award to Tommaso Spataro. On 8 December the Under 12s will be guests in Ceriano Laghetto for the 2nd round of the Western League.
