Ibarretxe, for his part, highlighted that, “as in the first edition, the ‘Eivissa Dona Bàsquet’ program focuses on promoting sport, basketball, but above all women’s sport and women’s basketball. The central and most relevant event is the International U16 Women’s Tournament that will be held on December 6, 7 and 8 at the Es Viver Pavilion.

The three matches will be free, with prior ticket purchase and will be broadcast on Eivo TV. This triangular is the icing on the cake of a week full of basketball in the municipality of Ibiza and that will have the Spanish national team led by Moses Fernández and Jaime Medina concentrated on the island for several days and that will allow for different activities. ‘Eivissa Dona Bàsquet’ started last Sunday with the celebration of a 3×3 children’s and cadet tournament and will continue with different training activities such as the one that allows Ibiza coaches to attend some Spain U16F training sessions and share impressions with the selectors or the presentation from the technical coordinator of the Spanish Federation, Anna Junyer, about 3×3 basketball.
