Enhanced Water Monitoring for a Sustainable Future
Waterschap Zuiderzeeland has taken significant steps to enhance water management in Zuidelijk and Oost-Flevoland. Fourteen outdated water monitoring stations have been replaced with modern equipment, providing more accurate and reliable data. Additionally, five new stations have been installed in urban areas, two of which will continuously monitor salt levels (EC-value). This expansion of the monitoring network will contribute to better management of the urban water system,ensuring a sustainable water future for the region.
A Message of Hope for the New Year
As 2024 draws to a close, the community of Biddinghuizen is invited to a special sunday service on December 29th at 10:00 am.Led by Mr. Jan Kees van der Hart, the service will focus on the theme of justice and hope, drawing inspiration from Isaiah 61:11. This service offers a chance for reflection and inspiration as we enter the new year.
Holiday Cheer for Children in Need
Children staying at the Biddinghuizen emergency shelter enjoyed a day filled with fun and games at Beleeftuin Drakesteyn on Tuesday. Stichting MeerSamen organized a special day of activities for children who couldn’t go on vacation during the Christmas holidays. This heartwarming initiative brought joy and festive cheer to these children during a special time of year.
