Wedding dresses with pearls: the 2024 models between classic and contemporary
Pearls are a great classic in the bridal world. They represent purity, and are able to give light to the bridal look with discretion and extreme elegance. And this is why they are among the most popular choices for brides. Today however, pearls go to the altar with a very different twist than usual. On the catwalks of recent seasons, pearls are pure creativity, and given that the mix between bridal and fashion continues with great strength, the result is that even for the Big Day, pearls are no longer simply a small décor, but become absolute protagonists. They cascade onto wedding dresses and accessories, often having different sizes, very small or very large. And they definitely stand out.
The wedding of lawyer Eve Levin and professional baseball player Matthew Bowman took place in the small town of Crested Butte, Colorado. The ceremony took place against the backdrop of the Elk Mountains. The wedding dress is custom-made by the atelier of the New York brand Danielle Frankel. «A friend suggested the idea of a dress embroidered with pearls by sending me a photo of the look worn by Lila Moss at Kim Jones’s first fashion show for Fendi», explains Eve. «I showed it to Stef, who put me in touch with stylist Carrie Goldberg, of CLG Creative, and her main collaborator, Lex Alexandris». Carrie and Lex introduced her to designer Danielle Hirsch of Danielle Frankel. Over the next seven months, Eve worked closely with Goldberg, Alexandris and Frankel to bring to life her vision of a wedding dress, a design embroidered with raw pearls, in different colors, extremely contemporary.
