A total of 48 archers will gather at the National Center for Sports Talent Progress and High Performance (CNAR) from January 30 to february 1, aiming to secure a spot on the national team that will compete in upcoming international events.
This event follows the national qualifier held in Monclova, Coahuila, where over 200 archers competed across six categories using recurve and compound bows to claim top positions. From this intense competition, the top nine archers from each division—recurve men and women, as well as compound men and women—were selected, resulting in 36 athletes advancing to the next stage.
The second phase of the qualifier will take place at CNAR, where the 12 athletes selected for 2024 will join the competition. From this group, eight archers per category will be chosen to move forward to the third phase of the selection process. Among the standout competitors who have already secured their spots are Olympic medalists from Paris 2024: Alejandra Valencia, Ana Vázquez, and Ángela Ruiz, alongside other top contenders like Matías Grande, Carlos Rojas, and Bruno Martínez.
