Archers Shine at the Final Indoor Competition of the Year
The Venise Verte gymnasium hosted a thrilling archery competition on December 15th, marking the final indoor event of the year in the department. Over 100 archers participated, showcasing their skills and vying for top honors.
The Ardin club dominated the competition, securing an notable 15 podium finishes, including seven gold medals. The home team, the Archers Niortais, also delivered a strong performance, claiming ten medals, three of which were gold.
Several standout archers from Ardin, including Gabriel Bodereau (U13), Erwan Dervout (U15), Laelis Callerot (U18), and Juliette tisserond (Senior 1 Women), demonstrated exceptional talent in the classic bow category. Their impressive results position them well for potential qualification to the French Championships.
This competition served as a valuable warm-up for the upcoming departmental indoor championships, scheduled for January 18th and 19th at the same venue. The event will feature both youth and adult categories, promising another exciting display of archery prowess.Before the departmental championships, the Archers de Gâtine club in Mazières will kick off the new year with their first competition on january 4th and 5th. The event will be held at the Val d’Egray sport hall in champdeniers.Detailed results:
