The badminton Club of Saint-Marcel Welcomes a New Wave of Volunteers
The Badminton Club of Saint-Marcel (BCSM) recently hosted a successful event aimed at attracting new volunteers. Recognizing the challenges of maintaining a dedicated volunteer base, club president Jonathan Souillot sought innovative ways to engage members and ensure the club’s long-term sustainability.
“Finding committed volunteers within our membership has become increasingly tough,” Souillot shared with Info chalon. “To support our long-standing volunteers and prevent burnout, we need to bring in fresh faces and share the workload.”
This realization led Souillot and the club’s board to organize a special evening on January 8th at the COSEC meeting room. The event provided an chance for all club members to learn about the various volunteer roles available and the exciting events the BCSM organizes throughout the year.
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Thirteen new volunteers stepped forward, eager to contribute their time and skills. These excited individuals will now play a vital role in supporting the club’s operations, from assisting with the youth program and managing court schedules to organizing events.
This successful recruitment drive demonstrates the BCSM’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. By welcoming new volunteers, the club ensures its continued growth and success for years to come.
