Caussadais Basketball Teams Gear Up for a Packed Weekend of Action
The Caussadais Basketball Athletic Sport teams are back in action this weekend after the holiday break, with a jam-packed schedule featuring exciting matchups across various age groups and leagues.
Home Court Advantage at René-Barguès Gymnasium
Saturday, January 11th, will see the René-Barguès gymnasium buzzing with activity. The U13 men’s team 1, riding high on their strong start to the season, will look to continue their winning streak against Lalbenque/Montpezat-de-Quercy at 1 p.m. The U11 women’s team 2 will then take on Moissac at 2:30 p.m.
The afternoon will see national level handibasket action, with team 2 Caussade/Pavie facing Stade Rochelais Rupella in National 3 at 4 p.m. The highlight of the day will undoubtedly be the National 1 handibasket clash at 6:30 p.m., where team 1 of the Scorpions Caussade/Pavie will host league leaders Lyon BF/Guilherand in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
The evening culminates with a top-of-the-table showdown in regional 2,as the undefeated senior boys’ team 1 takes on the group’s runner-up,team 1 from Lavaur,at 9 p.m.
Blue Gym Hosts Exciting Youth Matches
The blue gym will also be a hive of activity, hosting several youth matches. The U13 women’s team will welcome team 2 from Lalbenque at 12:30 p.m., followed by the U18 men’s team 2 facing Séquestre at 2:30 p.m. The U15 women’s team will then take on Team 2 from Montech at 4:45 p.m.
Road Warriors Take on Tough Challenges
Several caussadais teams will be traveling to face tough opponents. The U11 men’s team 1 will journey to Montpezat-de-Quercy for a 9:30 a.m. match, while the U13 men’s team 2 will head to Labastide-Saint-Pierre to face BC bastide at 11 a.m. The U13 women’s team will travel to Cahors for a 12 p.m. match.In regional 2, the U18 women’s team, back to full strength, will face a formidable challenge against league leaders Labarthe-sur-Lèze at 3 p.m. Similarly,the U18 men’s team 1 in regional 3 will face a tough test against Lavaur at 3:15 p.m., as will the U15 men’s team 1 against Albi 1 at 3:30 p.m.
The U15 men’s team 2 will travel to montcuq for a 4:30 p.m. match. In the pre-region, the senior boys team 3 will seek revenge against Labastide-du-Temple at 8:30 p.m., while the 2 senior boys team will face a top-of-the-table Vacquiers-Bouloc team at 8:30 p.m. in regional 3.
Sunday Showdown in Nègrepelisse
The action continues on Sunday, January 12th, in Nègrepelisse at the Jean-Taché gymnasium. The pre-regional senior women’s team 2 from Caussade/Gimbelet will aim for victory against bottom-placed Pradines team 2 at 1 p.m.
The day concludes with an exciting regional 2 clash at 3:30 p.m., as the undefeated senior women’s team 1 from Caussade/Gimbelet takes on a recovering Olemps team 1.
