The accomplished thirty-year-old, a three-time European champion, edged out Ethiopian Aleshign Baweke in a dramatic sprint finish, crossing the line a mere five seconds ahead. Rounding out the podium was the determined Yasemin can, finishing 36 seconds behind Battocletti.

In the men’s ten-kilometer race, local favorite Yeman Crippa narrowly missed out on victory, finishing a mere second behind Ethiopian Telahun Haile Bekele, who clocked an extraordinary 27:59.Crippa, however, secured a respectable second-place finish, edging out Kenyan Charles Rotich by nine seconds. Yeman: Thanks for having me. It’s a pleasure to be here.
Moderator: Let’s dive right in.The Boclassic is a challenging race, renowned for its historic streets and strong international field. You came agonizingly close to victory, finishing a mere second behind Ethiopia’s Telahun Haile Bekele who clocked an unbelievable sub-28 minute time. How would you sum up
your performance?
yeman: It was definitely a tough race, but I felt strong throughout. Bekele ran an incredible time, and I knew I had to push myself to the limit. Coming in second is never a disappointment, especially against such fierce competition. But, of course, there’s
always that part of you that wants to grab that win.
Moderator: Absolutely. It takes incredible grit and determination to compete at that level. You mentioned pushing yourself to the limit. Can you walk us through the final stretch? What was going through your mind as you battled towards the finish line?
Yeman: In those final kilometers, it’s a mix of physical and mental exhaustion, but also pure adrenaline. I knew Bekele was just ahead, and I gave it everything I had. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough on the day, but the experience
taught me a lot.
Moderator: I can only imagine the intensity. You’ve been vocal about your desire to win the Boclassic title.
This near miss,will it fuel your fire even further for next year’s race?
Yeman: Absolutely. This just strengthens my resolve. The Boclassic is a special race for me, and I’m resolute to conquer it.
I’ll be using this experience to train even harder, analyze my strategy, and come back stronger.
Moderator: That’s the spirit! You mentioned analyzing strategy. Looking back, what would you say is the key takeaway from this year’s race that you’ll focus on for next year?
Yeman: Pacing is crucial.Bekele’s incredible time shows how critically important it is indeed to set a strong pace from the outset.
I need to fine-tune my approach and make sure I’m conserving enough energy for that final push.

yeman: Believe in yourself, don’t be afraid to dream big, and work tirelessly towards your goals. Surround yourself with
a supportive team and never give up, even when things get tough. Remember, the journey is as critically important as the destination.
