Young badminton Players Shine at Capdenac-Gare Tournament
The Capdenac-Gare municipal gymnasium buzzed with energy this past Sunday as it hosted the fourth leg of the Aveyron departmental youth badminton circuit.
Over 50 young athletes representing clubs from Le Monastère, Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Saint-Affrique, and Figeac converged for the event, highlighting the growing popularity of badminton within the region.
This successful tournament, now in its fourth year, was a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Aveyron Badminton Committee, dedicated players, supportive parents, and the tireless volunteers of the CCAC Badminton club.
The event received generous support from various partners, including the Region, the Department, the Capdenac-Gare municipality, Intermarché, Banque Populaire, Raynal and Roquelaure, MMA insurance, and OIS du Grand-Figeac. This strong backing ensured a well-organized and enjoyable experience for all participants.The CCAC badminton club celebrated a promising performance with 14 young athletes from Capdenac-Gare competing and achieving commendable results. This success reflects the club’s continued growth and growth.
Tournament Highlights:
Mini-bad/Poussins: Angelo Vicino (Figeac) emerged victorious, with Ezio Gardou (Figeac) as the runner-up.
Women’s Singles:
SD1: Héloïse Themines (Le Monastère) claimed the title,while Capucine Martel (Le Monastère) secured second place. SD2: Lola Torres (Saint-Affrique) triumphed, with Mélissa Christophe (capdenac-Gare) finishing as the runner-up. SD3: Chloé Beteille (Figeac) took home the win, while Mélina Oliviera (Capdenac-Gare) came in second.
Men’s Singles:
SH1: Basile Gruarin Domergue (Capdenac-Gare) emerged victorious, with Guillaume Arsac (Le Monastère) as the runner-up.
SH2: Martin Esteulle (Figeac) secured the win,while Julian Delport (Capdenac-Gare) finished second.
SH3: Gabriel Vermande (Capdenac-Gare) claimed the title, with Mathias Greven (Capdenac-Gare) as the runner-up.
SH4: Titouan Redoules (Capdenac-Gare) emerged victorious, while Pablo Espinaco Robert (Figeac) secured second place.
The next stage of the Aveyron departmental youth badminton circuit will take place in Saint-affrique in March. badminton enthusiasts can look forward to another exciting day of competition and camaraderie.
