The race to secure a spot on the French team for the European Archery Championships is underway! The initial selection trials,held from January 3rd to 5th,saw several archers already surpass the required minimum scores.

Léa Girault from Compiègne and Chloé Leroy representing Le havre also secured their spots with scores of 589 and 580 points respectively.Victoria Sebastian from Nîmes showcased her talent in the recurve bow division,achieving a commendable 590 points. Simultaneously occurring, David Jackson of l’Union and Jérome Souchaud from l’Encloitre both met the minimum requirement in the barebow category, scoring 555 and 543 points respectively.
Among the U21 women,Valentine Ribeyrol secured her place with a score of 508 points.
Archery enthusiasts can look forward to the next selection event, taking place at the Nîmes tournament from January 16th to 19th. Live scores will be available on Ianseo.net, and the finals will be broadcast live on Sport en France, with coverage scheduled for Sunday, January 19th.
The final team roster for the european Archery championships will be announced no later than January 21st.
