Empowering Parents with Child First Aid Skills
Starting on Tuesday, January 14th, the “First Aid for Children” course will equip participants with the skills and confidence to handle emergencies involving children. This complete four-week program,held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the Dorpshuis in Lieshout,is open to everyone,irrespective of prior experience.
While the course is already attracting a good number of participants, there’s still room for a few more individuals eager to learn these vital skills.
Mastering Life-Saving Techniques: CPR and AED Training
On Wednesday, January 22nd, a new CPR course will commence, focusing on the critical techniques of resuscitation and AED usage. This two-week program, running on Wednesday evenings from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Dorpshuis in Lieshout, will provide participants with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to respond effectively in life-threatening situations.

Pieter: Thanks for having me!

pieter: I believe it’s absolutely crucial. You never know when you might encounter a situation where first aid knowledge could make a real difference – it could be a child choking at a park, a sudden cardiac arrest during a sporting event, or any number of scenarios. Having these skills empowers individuals to act swiftly and perhaps save a life.
Moderator: The ”First Aid for Children” course focuses specifically on emergencies involving children. Do you think this specialized training is necessary,or should basic first aid knowledge suffice for all ages?
Pieter: It’s definitely invaluable. Children are especially vulnerable, and their emergencies frequently enough require specific approaches. Knowing how to handle choking, seizures, or other childhood-specific emergencies can be a game-changer.
