The Envermeu Petit-Caux Badminton club (EPCBAD), born from the merger of the Envermeu and Saint-Martin-en-Campagne clubs, is rapidly establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with in the badminton community. Training sessions are offered daily at both Envermeu and Saint-Martin-en-Campagne, catering to players of all levels, from recreational enthusiasts to competitive athletes. Adult competitors benefit from monthly technical sessions led by Romain Lechalupé, a certified coach and 2024 French Veteran Badminton Champion.
Furthering its commitment to excellence,EPCBAD organizes three annual training camps for both adult and junior competitive players,led by Lechalupé and Alcinda Afonso. Recognizing the importance of qualified coaching, the club prioritizes the development of its trainers. Three young members, Marc Pichon, Gabriel Davoine, and Théo Piré, have successfully completed the Modef (Fundamentals of Badminton Module) and now contribute as volunteer coaches.Pichon and Davoine guide young players in Envermeu on Wednesdays, while Piré leads technical sessions on Fridays.EPCBAD’s dedication to quality training and its focus on nurturing young talent have earned it a prestigious double label recognition. The influx of new players has allowed EPCBAD to field four adult teams in departmental interclub competitions, one for each level. Each team comprises eight to nine players, with a minimum requirement of three women in D1 and two in the other divisions.While these newly formed teams aren’t focused on specific rankings this season, their primary goal is to foster a spirit of enjoyment and healthy competition. This experience will lay the groundwork for more enterprising goals in the near future.
In the top departmental league, Nicolas Ferment’s team aims to secure its position. The focus is also on continuous betterment, building a strong and cohesive group capable of challenging for top spots next season.

Julien Gérard’s D2 team, currently holding third place, has the potential to achieve a podium finish. the priority, though, is integrating new members – two transfers and one player promoted from a lower division.
Anthony Hulard’s D3 team is aiming for promotion, while Samuel Racapé’s D4 team is eager to gain valuable experience in its first competitive season.Beyond Interclubs: The Duos de la seine-Maritime
Adult players also have the chance to participate in the Duos de la Seine-Maritime,a departmental competition organized by the committee. This event prioritizes participation,offering flexibility in terms of location and scheduling.
The Duos de la Seine-Maritime fosters a welcoming atmosphere, particularly encouraging female participation with free entry for women’s doubles. It also allows players who don’t typically compete together in interclubs to team up.
The competition unfolds in two phases: a non-elimination round followed by a knockout stage. Quarterfinals,semifinals,and finals will determine the ultimate winners.
EPCBAD has entered 12 teams out of the 175 participating in the department. Last year, a mixed doubles team from the club reached the semifinals, demonstrating the club’s growing competitiveness.
