Fluminense’s young talents, the Moleques de Xerém, secured a crucial three points in their opening Copinha match. Facing Inter de Limeira-SP on Friday, January 3rd, at the Gilberto Siqueira Lopes Stadium in Lins (SP), Fluminense emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline.
João lourenço proved to be the hero of the match, confidently converting two penalties to secure the win for Tricolor. This impressive performance placed Fluminense in second place within Group 10.
The match began with a burst of energy,and Fluminense wasted no time in taking the lead. Just two minutes in, João Lourenço calmly slotted home a penalty awarded after Kelwin fouled him. While Inter de Limeira threatened with a shot from Enzo, they were unable to equalize until the 30th minute.
The second half saw Fluminense continue to press forward, with Kelwin, Natan, and Fabinho all coming close to extending their lead. dohmann also came agonizingly close,unleashing a powerful shot from the edge of the box that crashed against the crossbar.
Fluminense’s second goal arrived in the 30th minute, courtesy of another penalty, this time won by Júlio Fidelis. João Lourenço stepped up once again, leaving the Inter goalkeeper with no chance.
