Get Active This Winter Break: GO Play Kick-Off Returns to Waalwijk!
Calling all kids in grades 1 through 8! This winter break, join the excitement at the GO Play kick-off event on thursday, January 2nd. Held at Sporthal De Slagen,this free event offers a fantastic opportunity to explore a variety of sports and creative workshops.
Organized for the eighth consecutive year by buurtsportcoach Team Waalwijk,in collaboration with local sports clubs and GO Waalwijk,the GO Play kick-off promises a fun-filled morning for everyone. Ronald Frijters, a buurtsportcoach and event organizer, anticipates a turnout of at least 150 children, mirroring the success of last year’s event.
Young participants can dive into a diverse range of activities, including judo, kickboxing, hip-hop/breakdance, badminton, table tennis, and taekwondo.
In addition to traditional sports, the event will also feature unique experiences like wheelchair sports, allowing children to understand and appreciate the challenges and triumphs of adaptive athletics. The organizers encourage participants to try every activity, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching experience. Parents are welcome to attend and witness the enthusiasm and energy of the event.

The GO Play kick-off takes place on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Sporthal De Slagen in Waalwijk. Doors open at 8:30 AM.
