Gabigol Shines in CruzeiroS First Training Session in the US
Star striker Gabigol stole the show during Cruzeiro’s inaugural training session of the 2025 season. Held in a relaxed atmosphere at the Legacy Hotel within the IMG Academy in Florida, USA, Gabigol demonstrated his trademark goal-scoring prowess, finding the back of the net during the session.
In a highlight-reel moment, Gabigol received a precise pass from Lucas Silva and unleashed a powerful shot that left goalkeeper Léo Aragão with no chance. Earlier in the session, the prolific forward had also provided an assist for Lucas Silva to score.
Gabigol was part of the victorious team in the first scrimmage of the preseason. Joining him on the winning side were goalkeeper Cássio, defenders Lucas Villalba and Marlon, and midfielders Lucas Silva, Eduardo, Vitinho, and Walace.
Cruzeiro Prepares for Inter&Co soccer Week
The Cruzeiro squad and coaching staff departed Belo Horizonte on Sunday evening (5th) bound for Tampa, where they will participate in the Inter&co Soccer Week, featuring matches as part of the FC Series. the delegation arrived in the united States on Monday afternoon (6th) after a nine-hour flight.
Cruzeiro’s first match in the tournament will be against São Paulo on Wednesday,January 15th,at 8:30 PM (Brasília time). Their second encounter will be a highly anticipated clash against rivals Atlético Mineiro on Saturday, January 18th, at 4:00 PM (Brasília time).

Florida Focus for Cruzeiro
During their time in the United States, Cruzeiro will be based in the state of Florida. For the majority of their training camp,the team will be headquartered in Tampa. from January 6th to 14th, Cruzeiro will train in Tampa. Subsequently, until January 19th, the team will relocate to Orlando before returning to Brazil.
