And Paulo César Campos Jarillo in taekwondo is a force to be reckoned with. Don’t underestimate Baruc Alejandro Rojas Pérez on the basketball court either – he’s got the drive and skill to make waves.
Many would say surpassing the medal haul from Cali is a tall order. What is your take on setting such ambitious goals for these young athletes?
Sanchez: While six medals was a phenomenal achievement, I firmly believe this team has the potential to equal or even surpass it. But more importantly, we want them to focus on personal growth, learning from the experience, and competing with heart and determination.
