“I think it’s a fair deadline. It gives families ample time to plan their budgets after the holidays and ensures the club can secure the necessary resources for the year ahead. Accessibility is key, and keeping fees affordable is crucial for allowing everyone interested in judo to participate.”
The declaration also mentioned new age and weight classifications effective January 1st. How do these changes impact young judoka?
“These adjustments are vital for fair competition. As athletes grow and develop, their physical abilities change. Updating the classifications ensures that everyone is competing against opponents of a similar size and skill level, promoting safety and healthy competition.”

“Preparation is everything! Encourage your children to train consistently, focusing on both physical and mental conditioning. Work closely with their coaches, follow a balanced diet, and prioritize rest. Remember, judo is as much about building character and resilience as it is about winning medals. The experience and personal growth gained from competition are invaluable.”
what are your hopes and expectations for PSV Leipzig Judo in 2025?
“I’m incredibly optimistic about PSV Leipzig Judo’s prospects this year. The club has a fantastic coaching team, dedicated athletes, and a strong community spirit. I expect to see continued growth and development from the young judoka,and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some extraordinary performances at regional and national competitions.
