This extraordinary performance follows a similar display of dominance at the National Label A tournament in Chartres just a month prior, further solidifying Heintz’s position as a force to be reckoned with.

Fabien Delord: Bonjour, it’s a pleasure to be here.
Judo Talk: Now, Coach, Louis heintz is making waves! five ippon victories without conceding a single point at the Excellence Cadets Tournament? That’s remarkable!
fabien Delord: Absolutely stunning. Louis is showing exceptional maturity and dominance. He has a knack for decisive action, and his notable performance in Cesson-Sévigné wasn’t a fluke. We’ve seen this consistency in training, and it’s now translating into these fantastic tournament results.
Judo Talk: It’s clear he’s got a unique fighting style. You mentioned a powerful left-sided kumi-kata grip, relentless pressure, and precise hip throws. How has Louis developed this style? A lot of athletes tend to favour one side, and his left-sided dominance is quiet striking.
Fabien Delord: Louis’s technique is a combination of natural predisposition and purposeful training. He’s naturally left-hand dominant, but we’ve honed that advantage, building strength and technique specifically on that side.
We also focus on strategic pressure, use of space, and precise hip throws – classic judo principles with Louis’s signature aggressive execution.
Judo Talk: He’s clearly reaping the rewards of his dedication. Six podium finishes in major tournaments this season, a top three national ranking, direct qualification for the French Cadets Championship and selection for the European Cup in Genoa – this is just the beginning for him!
Fabien Delord: Precisely. Louis’s commitment is truly unwavering. Early morning sessions, continuous improvement efforts – he lives and breathes judo. The national level success is hard-earned, and he’s steadily proving himself as a true competitor, ready to test his skills on the international stage. Genoa will be a major benchmark.
Judo Talk: Absolutely. Eyes are on him now, and undoubtedly, expectations are high. He’s representing both Dijon and France, and everyone is excited to see him compete at the European Cup.What are your hopes for Louis at Genoa?
Fabien Delord: My primary hope for Louis is that he goes in with the same confidence and determination he displays everyday. He needs to embrace the experience, learn from every exchange, and push himself against the best in Europe.
A podium finish would be phenomenal,of course, but the real goal is to gauge his progress on the international stage and use that experience to fuel his future development.
judo Talk: Well said, coach. Louis’s journey is inspiring many young judoka. what advice would you give to aspiring athletes who dream of following in his footsteps?
Fabien Delord: Hard work, dedication, and a love for the sport. You need to truly enjoy training, constantly strive to improve, and embrace the challenges along the way. Find a good coach, surround yourself with a supportive team, and always remember why you started – the pure joy of judo.
