Judo youngsters collected medals

Tauberbischofsheim. In their ⁣first supra-regional comparison competition in the new year, the youngsters ​in the U13 ⁤and U15⁣ age groups from the state‌ judo associations of Baden, Württemberg, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate met for⁤ the mountain road tournament in Hemsbach. A ‍record-breaking number of athletes came to ‌present themselves to their respective national coaches.

The judo‌ department of TSV Tauberbischofsheim also sent⁣ seven young fighters.

Pia Zettelmeier and⁣ Sofia Corabieru ⁤competed​ in the U13 (eleven to twelve ‌year old) female age group in the weight class up to 33 kilograms. Both got ​off to a⁢ good ⁢start and reached ⁤the ​semi-finals. zettelmeier⁢ won her round and was in the final.
