What is not provided in google analytics “Not Provided” in Google Analytics refers to the encrypted search queries of users who are logged into their Google accounts when conducting a search. Starting in 2011, Google began encrypting search queries for signed-in users to enhance privacy and data security. This encryption means that website owners can no longer see the specific keywords that these users used to find their sites via organic search. Rather, these keywords are labeled as “(not provided)” in Google Analytics reports [[1]]. This limitation primarily affects organic search data,as paid search (PPC) data is not subject to the same encryption [[3]]. Despite this, there are choice approaches and tools available to help decode and estimate the “not provided” keywords, though they may not provide complete accuracy [[2]].
