The Kenyan U-18 Baseball 5 team is set to embark on a historic journey, departing for south Africa on January 7, 2025, to compete in the U-18 Baseball 5 World Cup qualifiers. Facing formidable opponents including Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, and Ghana in the Super6 Africa tournament commencing on January 9, 2025, the Kenyan team is determined to showcase their talent on the international stage.
Head Coach Joel Wa-Ngicho, speaking during the team’s final training session at Nyayo Stadium, exuded confidence and optimism. “We’re heading to South Africa tomorrow with the intention to win. We are prepared, capable, and eager to demonstrate our abilities,” he declared.
