Manipur’s passion for sports was on full display recently as Khelo Bharat, a nationwide initiative promoting grassroots sports, hosted a series of exciting events. Following a prosperous basketball competition at Ruda Academy in Thoubal,the organization shifted gears to badminton,organizing a thrilling tournament at the Nambol Khoiriphaba Indoor stadium.
The badminton competition, held in partnership with the Nambol badminton Association, attracted a diverse group of talented players and excited spectators. Distinguished guests, including Pradeep Sekhawat, Khelo Bharat’s All India in-charge, dr. Santosh Laishram, the Manipur state head, and RK Yaikhomba Singh, State joint secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, graced the occasion.
The event served as a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.Beyond the thrill of competition, the tournament aimed to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants.
