Jan: I think it’s incredibly critically important. When royalty gets involved, it elevates the status of the sport and brings it into the national spotlight.It shows young athletes that their dreams are achievable and that their achievements matter. It inspires a whole new generation to pick up a racket.
Moderator: A powerful sentiment! The King himself has shown an active interest in recognizing sporting excellence. Jan: I’m excited! We have a wealth of young talent bursting onto the scene. I expect them to continue challenging at the highest levels and bring home more medals.
