Flamengo Gears Up for 2025 with US Pre-Season
The Flamengo squad is diligently preparing for a demanding 2025 season, currently undergoing a pre-season training camp in the United States from January 10th to 19th. With the Supercopa do brasil final against Botafogo looming large, defender Léo Pereira shared insights into the team’s preparations and revealed some key directives from coach José Boto and veteran Filipe Luís.
“Adapting to the US climate has been a slight adjustment,as Rio’s heat is quite diffrent,” Pereira remarked. “However, we’re committed to making the most of this pre-season and arriving in top form for the Supercopa final.Strengthening team bonds is crucial, both on and off the field. Kind Match and Season Debut
The Flamengo squad will engage in intensive training sessions throughout the pre-season camp, culminating in a friendly match against São Paulo on January 19th at 5 PM (Brasília time).the match will be held at the chase Stadium, home of Inter Miami CF, the MLS team featuring global superstar Lionel Messi.
As per regulations, Flamengo’s main squad will make its official debut in the Campeonato Carioca during the fifth round. Their first official match will be against Volta Redonda on January 25th at the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasília. Following this, the team will travel to Belém, Pará, to face Botafogo in the Supercopa do Brasil final on February 2nd.

As the reigning Copa do Brasil champions, Flamengo has earned a spot in the Supercopa do Brasil, where they will face Botafogo, the 2024 Brasileirão champions. The highly anticipated clash is scheduled for February 2nd at 4 PM (Brasília time) at the Mangueirão Stadium in Belém. Flamengo is aiming for a third Supercopa title, having previously won the trophy in 2020 and 2021.
