In 1974,‌ he embarked on a new chapter, purchasing Brigden Feed​ Mill, a⁤ business he ⁣proudly‌ owned and operated for an impressive 50 years.

Through ⁤the mill, Lloyd became a pillar of the community, actively supporting ⁤the Brigden Fair and the Moore ‍Agricultural‌ Society. ⁣More than just a ‌business, the ‌mill ⁣provided employment opportunities for numerous family members and friends, reflecting Lloyd’s commitment to those around him.

Family was paramount to Lloyd. He shared 61 ⁤beautiful years of marriage with his ‌beloved wife, Helen McDonald (Dixon). Together, they⁢ raised a loving family, including their children: ​Steven & yvonne McDonald, Maxine ⁤& Mark Orr, and Brian & Synden‌ McDonald. Lloyd’s legacy extends to his grandchildren: Jordan McDonald, Breanna & Sean Stewart, Shaylynn &⁢ Nathan MacIntyre, Josh &​ Brooklyn McDonald, Tori ‌McDonald, ‌kayla‌ Orr, ‍Jesse ⁤McDonald,⁤ Dan Orr, Jeremy⁣ McDonald, and Jenessa McDonald. He was‍ also blessed with great-grandchildren: Myla Stewart, Teagan MacIntyre, Elora McDonald, and Aubree Stewart.

Lloyd’s faith was a guiding force in his ‍life. As an active member and past⁤ board member of Petrolia’s First Baptist Church, he lived his beliefs ​daily.⁣ He found joy in ⁣travel and baseball, ⁢passions he pursued ⁤well into his 80s, demonstrating his zest for life.

Lloyd’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of⁤ all who knew him. ‌His kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at ⁣Steadman Brothers Funeral chapels in Brigden on Monday,⁤ January 6, 2025, from 2:00​ to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm.A funeral service will be ⁢held on Tuesday, January ​7, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church (418 Greenfield Street, Petrolia).Donations:
