The world’s best young baseball players will converge on Tainan, Taiwan, this summer for the eighth edition of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup. Mexico secured its spot in the prestigious tournament, which runs from July 25th to August 3rd, thanks to a wildcard berth awarded by WBSC Americas. [1]
Joining Mexico in the competition are powerhouse teams like the United States, Cuba, Panama, and the Dominican Republic, who all qualified through the continental tournament held in Panama last October. The unique setting for this year’s World Cup is the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium, the only venue in the world specifically designed for the U-12 age group.
This global stage will showcase twelve national teams, including Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Panama, united States, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Germany, and Australia.
