Teh Mexican archery team is gearing up for a demanding year on the international stage. With major competitions like the World Championships in Gwangju,South Korea,the world Games in Chengdu,China,and the Archery World Cup series on the horizon,the 2025 National Archery Selection will be crucial in determining who will represent Mexico in these prestigious events.
this rigorous selection process, unfolding in four phases, is designed to solidify MexicoS position as a global force in archery.
The Road to Selection Begins in Monclova
The first stage of the selection process will take place from January 9th to 11th in Monclova, Coahuila, during the “Dafne quintero Open”. This phase will see the selection of the top nine archers in each category and discipline,who will join the three national team members from 2024 to form a preliminary squad of 48 athletes.
Among the standout archers already guaranteed a spot in this initial stage are Olympic medalists Alejandra valencia, Ana Vázquez, and Ángela Ruiz, alongside rising stars like Matías Grande and Dafne quintero.

the journey commences at the prestigious Centro Nacional de Desarrollo de Talentos Deportivos y Alto Rendimiento (CNAR) in mexico City from January 30th to February 1st. This initial phase will see a significant reduction in the pool of aspiring archers, narrowing the field to the top 32 contenders, with eight archers selected per gender and discipline.
The competition intensifies in Tlaxcala from February 26th to March 1st. Here, the remaining archers will battle for a coveted spot on the national team. Only the four most skilled archers per category will earn the right to represent Mexico in the highly anticipated World Cup Series. This prestigious tournament serves as a crucial proving ground, allowing archers to test their mettle against the world’s elite.The final stage of the selection process unfolds after the World Cup Series. based on their performance in these international competitions, the top archers will be chosen to represent Mexico at the pinnacle of the sport: the World Archery Championships and the World Games. These events represent the ultimate test of skill and determination, offering archers the chance to etch their names in the annals of archery history.
