Speaking of basketball, training with Jimmy Butler must have been a highlight. What did you learn from him?
“[Musiala] Absolutely! Jimmy’s work ethic and dedication are inspiring. He’s a true professional who emphasizes the finer details of the game. Just watching him hone his skills was a valuable lesson.”
And then there’s the Carmelo anthony encounter – recreating that iconic three-point party was pure gold! Did you talk to him about basketball or even get some tips?
“[Musiala] We had a brief chat, and he’s an incredibly cool guy. He even joked about my celebration during the Euros! As far as tips, it was more about exchanging our admiration for each other’s sports. He’s a living legend, and it was a surreal experience.”
Switching gears a bit, your teammate Michael Olise was also in New York. Did you guys explore the city together?
“[Musiala] Yes! It was great to spend time with Michael outside the football pitch. We checked out some museums, tried different restaurants, and experienced the city’s energy together. it’s always good to create memories with teammates off the field.”
