Just before the Christmas holidays, the Judo Lions of TV Wehen celebrated the achievements of 14 dedicated judoka who successfully completed their belt tests. This event, held on December 20, 2024, showcased the diverse talent within the Judo Lions program, with participants representing nearly every training group.
From beginners taking their first steps in judo to seasoned practitioners aiming for higher levels, the test encompassed a wide range of skill levels.White-yellow belts from the beginner and Family Judo groups demonstrated their foundational techniques, while yellow-orange and orange belts from the youth and advanced training groups showcased their growing mastery. Even the adult group, striving for the blue belt, impressed with their refined skills.
The rigorous testing process included individual demonstrations of falling techniques, standing and floor techniques, and several randoris, or practice bouts. The examiners,satisfied with the participants’ progress,awarded certificates recognizing their newly earned belt degrees.
This prosperous belt test marked a fitting end to the year for the judo Lions, allowing everyone to enter the holiday break with a sense of accomplishment. Training sessions will resume on January 13, 2025, after the school holidays, ready to welcome new and returning judoka.
