Teh inaugural International Capricorn Badminton Tournament, hosted by the newly formed Terres Touloises Badminton (Ttoutbad) alliance, took place from December 27th to 29th at the Pierre-Roger Sports Complex. This exciting event brought together badminton enthusiasts from across the region adn beyond, showcasing the sport’s growing popularity.
Over 250 players representing 65 clubs from France, Switzerland, Belgium, and beyond competed in a variety of categories. The tournament featured singles matches on Friday, followed by men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, and mixed doubles on Sunday. With over 450 matches played, the event catered to players of all levels, from departmental to national, and even included a dedicated series for young athletes. Michaël Grandemenge, president of the Foug club, expressed his satisfaction with the tournament’s success, highlighting the strong performance of local players across various categories.

These individuals worked tirelessly over four days to ensure the smooth running of the event, managing everything from game institution to refreshments.
