On one hand, you’ve got a kid with obvious talent, a guy who’s already proven himself at the college level.Leading Texas back-to-back playoff appearances? That’s no small feat. But conversely, there’s somthing to be said for finishing what you started, for getting that degree.
He’s definitely leaving big shoes to fill. Arch Manning, you know, the nephew of Peyton and Eli, is waiting in the wings. Do you think he’s ready to step up and fill that void?
Lou Holtz: Arch Manning has the pedigree, that’s without a doubt. You don’t get that kind of bloodline without some serious talent. But college football is a different animal. There’s pressure, there’s scrutiny, there’s a whole lot to learn. Whether he’s ready to step in and lead right away, that’s something only time will tell.
