Arco Club Riccione Shines at the 62nd italian Target Championship
The Arco Club Riccione made a triumphant return from the 62nd Italian Target Championship held in Camaiore from September 5th to 8th. A team of 16 skilled archers, including 12 individual competitors and four teams, secured an extraordinary five podium finishes, two national titles, and a new Italian record in the Mixed Team Olympic Bow Allievi/e category.
The club’s female archers dominated the Olympic Bow Allieve team category, claiming the national title. This victory was spearheaded by Noemi Peruzzi, competing in her first year in this category and already a reigning Champion in the Youth team division. Joining her were the experienced and decorated Ana Morgagni, also a Youth team champion, and Nicole Passarella, a promising newcomer to the BiancoBlu team.
The Arco Compound MF team also achieved national glory, securing the title with a powerful performance from Patrizia fusciani, fresh off her gold medal win at the Italian Cup MF. Anna norcia, who recently earned a bronze medal at the Italian Society championships, and Barbara Gualtieri, who placed fourth at the recent Italian HF Championships, rounded out the winning team.
Individual achievements were equally impressive. patrizia Fusciani added an individual silver medal in the Arco Compound MF category to her impressive haul. Rebecca Pecci secured a bronze medal in the Olympic girls’ category, further solidifying her position as a rising star and setting a new personal best.The Men’s Olympic team, composed of national team member Francesco Gregori, who recently won a silver medal at the Italian HF Championships, and promising juniors Samuele Pecci and Giacomo Gambuti, both reigning Youth team champions, clinched a bronze medal in the absolute category.
Noemi Peruzzi and Simone Vernocchi, also a Youth team champion, etched their names in history by setting a new Italian record in the Mixed team Olympic Bow Allievi/e category.
Looking ahead, the Arco Club Riccione is gearing up for its next challenge: a home indoor competition on November 2nd and 3rd.This event serves as a qualifier for the upcoming Italian indoor Championships scheduled for February 2025. Patrizia: Thank you! It’s truly an exhilarating experience. Winning individually is certainly gratifying, but there’s a special kind of satisfaction that comes with contributing to a team’s success. We are a tight-knit group within Arco Club Riccione and sharing this victory with them is incredibly fulfilling.
You mentioned the team.The Arco Club Riccione dominated the Championships, securing five podium finishes including two national titles. What do you attribute this amazing performance to?
Patrizia: It’s a combination of factors. We have an incredibly dedicated coaching staff who tirelessly work with us, constantly pushing us to improve. The camaraderie within the club is also a driving force. We support each other, learn from each other, and celebrate each other’s successes. I believe this positive environment fosters a strong will to win.

Patrizia: this home competition is a crucial stepping stone. It allows us to test our skills on a familiar ground, build momentum, and fine-tune our techniques. The pressure of competing at home also helps us prepare mentally for the challenges of the upcoming national championships.
