Brianza Archers Aim for National Championship Qualification
The 2025 archery season sees brianza archers strategically competing in ranking tournaments to secure coveted spots at the Italian Indoor Championships in Pordenone (February 5-9).
A Strong Showing at Turate
The Airone society hosted a bustling indoor archery competition in Turate, attracting a remarkable 175 archers. The Compagnia Arcieri del Sole from Solaro emerged as a dominant force, claiming an impressive nine individual medals and three team medals.
In the Olympic category, Greta Piao secured bronze in the girls’ division, while Thomas Colombini and davide Bosatra clinched silver and bronze respectively in the young men’s category. Andrea Beraldo earned bronze in the senior compound division. Emiliano Giuranno,also a senior,took home silver in the barebow category. Master archers Adriano Fabbian and Fabio Capoferri secured gold and silver respectively, while junior archer Federica Gobbato claimed gold. Emanuele Radice rounded out the individual medal haul with gold in the boys’ category.
The Solaro team continued thier success in the team events, securing gold in the senior Olympic category and the master barebow category. They also earned silver in the senior compound category.
Monza and Brianza Archers Shine
The Compagnia di Monza e della Brianza also achieved notable success. Maurizio Cecchetto, a master archer, won gold in the Olympic category, while Alessia Passoni secured bronze in the senior barebow division.The team also secured gold in the master olympic category and silver in the senior barebow category.
Two archers from burarco Vimercate, Valeria Giacomina Fermini and Mirko lacapra, returned home with compound medals. Fermini,a senior archer,won silver,while Lacapra,an apprentice,clinched gold.
Success Continues in Assago
The interregional competition in Assago witnessed further triumphs for Brianza archers. Mattia Innocenti and Alyssa Bai from Bosco delle Querce Seveso secured gold and bronze respectively in the Olympic youth category.
Arco Monza e Brianza archers continued their winning streak.Alessia Passoni, Daniela sangiorgio, and Elena Impronti dominated the senior Olympic category, securing gold, silver, and bronze respectively. The team also clinched gold in the senior Olympic team event.
In the master barebow category, Roberto Pancot secured bronze individually and gold as part of a team with Valerio Montanari and Francesco Sgura. Emiliano Giuranno from Compagnia Arcieri del Sole Solaro added to his medal count with gold in the individual barebow category. He than teamed up with Ettore Sivieri and Adriano Fabbian to secure silver in the team event.
