Despite initial reports from lens suggesting the transfer was off due to dialog issues with Rennes, Samba reportedly underwent a medical examination in Paris on Tuesday evening.Sources indicate that a deal worth between €12 and €15 million is close to being finalized, with Samba expected to sign his contract in Brittany on Wednesday. This move comes after Rennes secured the services of former Lens captain Seko Fofana earlier this winter.
Neymar Hints at MLS Reunion with Messi and suarez
Brazilian superstar Neymar has fueled speculation about a potential reunion with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in Major League Soccer. In an interview with CNN, Neymar expressed his desire to play alongside his former Barcelona teammates again, stating, “Obviously, playing with messi and Suarez again would be unbelievable. They are my friends. We still talk to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio.”
While Neymar is currently under contract with Saudi club Al-Hilal until June 2025,he acknowledged that a move to Inter Miami,where Messi and Suarez currently play,could be a possibility in the future. Luiz Felipe Bolsters Marseille’s Defence
Olympique de Marseille has secured it’s first winter signing in the form of Brazilian-Italian defender Luiz Felipe.The 27-year-old, who has one cap for the Italian national team, has signed a contract until June 2026. Felipe recently terminated his contract with Saudi club Al-Ittihad, where he played alongside French stars Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté.
Felipe’s previous clubs include Lazio Rome and Real Betis,and he was acquired by Al-Ittihad for €22 million in 2023. This signing adds valuable experience and depth to Marseille’s defensive line.

Marcel: neymar to Miami? it’s definitely a possibility, though less immediate. He’s still a world-class talent who could contribute at the highest level in Europe.
