The National Phu Dong Sportfestival in 2028 will feature competitions across 15 sports during its opening phase, according to VietnamPlus. Eligibility Restrictions For Elite Competitors

Education and training departments across participating areas will form delegations drawing exclusively from general education, vocational, and continuing education students. To maintain amateur school sports standards, organizers prohibit entry for students who currently train at professional sports centers and clubs under ministries, local authorities, or municipal bodies. Students who have won medals at national or international elite sports competitions are also barred from participation.

Quadrennial Mission For Student Athletics

Held once every four years, the National Phu Dong Sportfestival aims to foster school sports participation, encourage regular physical activity, and build a lasting athletic culture among students nationwide.
