2022 projects in Grandvilliers, the hoped-for dojo for the September start

Among the projects carried out this year by the municipality of Grandvilliers, priority is given to the dojo in the former rescue center.

In addition to the dojo, the mayor Jacques Larcher also evokes the future media library, as well as the beguinage rue d’Amiens.

The desired dojo for the start of September

This is the big job of the year for the mayor of Grandvilliers. The rehabilitation of the former firefighter rescue center which is to house a dojo, for the judo club, a garage for the party committee, as well as, potentially, meeting rooms. Priority is given to the layout of the dojo.

The most important thing is to start work in the first quarter of the year. I hope that will be done. I want to give the judo club the opportunity to train from the start of the 2022 school year at the dojo.

In addition, a car park with around 30 spaces must be built on the green space adjacent to the old rescue center.

A media library in the old cinema

The municipality wishes to erect a media library in the old cinema located behind the town hall. For the moment, it is only at the beginnings of the project.

It is still under study. We had a meeting with the architect a few days ago. The ideal would be to start work this year, if only the cover. If all goes well, we hope to be able to open the media library at the end of 2023.”

Twenty housing units in the beguinage

Rue d’Amiens la commune is working with the Béguinage Solidaire organization and the Local Public Land Establishment of the Oise (EPFLO) to create a beguinage.

The idea: sixteen individual T2-T3 apartments, on the ground floor, wooden houses created by the Chênelet integration society, as well as eight apartments in the former Anthierens farm.

We should be able to sign the building permit in February in order to start work this year. We have found agreements. There are people waiting. The elderly will have priority but it can be interesting to see young couples moving there too. It will not be closed to them.

A public meeting will take place in February or March in order to present the project to the inhabitants. The first moves are expected for 2023.
