Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto Becomes Assistant Coach of Italian League Club

Indonesian football legend, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto claimed to have been appointed as assistant coach of the second tier club Italian League, Like 1907.

Kurniawan is currently still in Indonesia. The former coach of Malaysian club Sabah FC is still applying for a work permit to work in the Pizza Country.

“My activities are still waiting for an exit visa because thank God I got a job to become an assistant coach at Como,” he told CNNIndonesia.com.

“But while waiting for my visa, I was seconded to Garuda Select first. So, waiting for the visa to come out, I kept going,” he continued.

This news is clearly a significant career leap for Kurniawan. One of the best strikers for the Indonesian national team in his time will study in one of the countries with the best football competitions.

Previously, Kurniawan was trusted to manage Sabah FC. The 45-year-old coach had two seasons in charge of the team that appeared on the Malaysian Super League stage.

Como are currently competing in Serie B following promotion from Serie C at the end of last season. The team, which was designed by Giacomo Gattuso, sits in 11th position out of the 20 teams participating in the Serie B competition.

The club nicknamed I Lariani was acquired by Djarum Group at the end of 2019. Como went bankrupt in 2004 and only got back up in 2017.
