Percy Kunsa now shares something in common with André Leducq : that of being a great sportsman who has become bar-tabac manager. His illustrious predecessor, twice winner of the Tour de France cycling race, had been in the 1950s to Mériel.

the jujitsuka, three times individual world champion in -77 kg (2012, 2015, 2,017), triple world champion by teams and eight times champion of France, performs the function at Pontoise, in the Val d’Oise.

With his brother Patrice (former conductor in public works), he has indeed taken over “ The Jean Bart », tobacco bar open for more than 30 years at 28, rue de l ‘Hermitage.

A reconversion

“We opened on December 15 and the clientele was very warm from the start,” says the Valdoisien, who grew up in Vauréal and lives in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt.

“I continue to practice ju-jitsu (a martial art that combines judo, ne-waza and shotokan karate) at a high level. This has been going on for 20 years. But I have always worked alongside. In particular, since 2009, I have been a financial asset manager at Crédit Agricole. But my company was constrained to a social plan, which led me to find a reconversion ”, explains the ambitious buyer, who is thinking of making Jean Bart more than a simple bar-tobacco, offering tobacco shops, coffees and drinks, games of the Pmu and the Française des Jeux.

Evenings and parcel point

“Our friendly place will host themed evenings, on the occasion of sporting or lottery events. It will increase its reception capacity thanks to the installation of standing tables and will serve as a reception point for parcels, ”he concludes.

Hours (excluding theme evenings): Monday to Friday from 6.30 am to 8.30 pm; Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
