[스포츠조선 최만식 기자] On the 13th, the Korea Industrial Badminton Federation held an appointment ceremony for the public relations ambassadors for actor Kim Min-ki and former badminton player Jang Soo-young, to commemorate the opening of the ‘2022 DB Group Badminton Korea League‘.

Chairman Kim Jung-soo of the Business Badminton Federation presented a plaque of appointment to Min-ki Kim and Su-yeong Jang at the Hwado Sports and Culture Center in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do on the same day and asked them to act as public relations ambassadors.

Kim Min-ki also attracted attention as a badminton talent while appearing in the entertainment program ‘Racquet Boys’. Born in 1988, Lee Yong-dae, the gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and Jang Su-young, who were born in 1988, were the ‘the youngest national team member’ who was selected for the national team in the third year of middle school. Jang Soo-young appeared in ‘Racquet Boys’ as ‘Ulzzang Coach’ along with director Lee Yong-dae.

In addition to these, the federation plans to focus on promoting Korea’s first Korea League by appointing celebrity ambassador Jang Seong-gyu, Yoon Hyun-min, and vice-Seung-gwan, who appeared in ‘Racket Boys’.

On the same day, Seungkwan Boo, a member of the idol group Seventeen, started promoting the Korea League through his SNS (Instagram) to encourage ‘intuition’ in the Korea League.

On the other hand, the Korea League, which started on the same day, started with a match between Miryang City Hall and Gwangju Bank in Men’s Group A and Hwasun County Office in Women’s Division and Siheung City Hall in Group A.
