GROSSETO – The cycle of meetings dedicated to the sports of our territory starts again.
The event, organized by Fossombroni, saw the participation of Maurizio Pimponi, athlete from Grosseto who wore the national team jersey in two different disciplines: baseball and beach volleyball. Pimponi took part in the meeting that took place in the main hall of the school in via Sicilia, telling his story full of anecdotes. From the first sporting steps taken in school, to the great love for baseball, then arriving at beach volleyball, a discipline in which he managed to qualify and participate in the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
The meeting was included in the project linked to sports journalism, which has been included in the school program by the manager for years Francesca Dini. Maurizio Pimponi answered the many questions posed by the students who collected the material useful for the drafting of a sports article.
Many curiosities emerged from Maurizio Pimponi’s stories that interested the Fossombroni boys. The meeting was organized by the project manager Monica Mazzilli, with the collaboration of literature teachers. The event was moderated by the journalist Lorenzo Falconi who will follow the students in drafting the papers. The best articles will be published in the newspaper IlGiunco.net.
