Newcastle lures Leipzig star: That speaks for a Haidara change – Bundesliga

On Saturday, Amadou Haidara (23) will have to choose between the Bundesliga and the Premier League!

After training with the Mali national team, he can either watch RB in Stuttgart on hotel TV. Or maybe look at his new club Newcastle United, who are playing against Watford almost at the same time.

Sure: The newly rich English want to get Haidara thanks to sheikh millions. Allegedly ten million euros annual salary and a long-term contract are in prospect.

According to BILD information, there is great interest, RB has not (yet) received a specific request. Haidara’s consulting agency Sports 360 did not want to comment. What is known, however, is that she has good connections with Newcastle United and already plays one of her clients there with Fabian Schär (30, formerly Hoffenheim).

What speaks for a change of Haidara:

+ England. Haidara is a fan of the Premier League, his idol is Steven Gerrard (41 / now Aston Villa coach). Haidara: “His way of playing shaped me as a child.”

+ Money. Newcastle has an abundance of coal thanks to the Saudi Sheikh. Haidara can double his salary in Newcastle. The stipulated exit clause (40 million euros) should only become active in the summer. It is unlikely that a club will pay under Corona conditions. If the transfer fee (well over 20 million) is correct, RB should also be ready to talk now.

+ Competition. Haidara is extremely flexible. But Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco wants to put on an axis with experienced players. Kampl and Laimer are in the sixth position.

And that speaks against a change:

+ Contract. In Leipzig, Haidara only extended it to 2025 last May. He grew up at the Group’s sister club Salzburg, Leipzig always trusted him and supported him despite injuries.

+ Relegation battle. Whether Newcastle (currently 19th place) will hold the class is open. The game against Watford (17th place) will already be an important determination of the location …

By the way, RB coach Domenico Tedesco says: “We at the club are in constant contact. It has been agreed that there will be no change from us or to us. ”As of now …
