Derrick Jones Jr. will be out for at least one month

Chicago Bulls player Derrick Jones Jr. will miss four to six weeks due to a bruise on his right knee, as reported by the journalist from The Athletic Shams Charania.

The power forward was injured in the first minute of the game that pitted the Bulls against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Jones Jr. had to be helped off the court and would not return to the game.

Chester’s had been in the starting five in his last six appearances with the team. His averages with the Bulls rise to 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds after joining the franchise during the offseason from Portland.

Still, rumors that have spread in recent weeks suggest that Jones Jr. could be traded before the market close on February 10.
