Verstappen has not officially entered a race since 2012 and the 49-year-old driver was therefore looking forward to finally being able to show his skills again. Earlier, Vermeulen expressed his admiration for the fun and speed with which Verstappen impressed. “You notice that it has become more of a hobby for him. He is not involved in the sport every day like some others. But his pure speed is just very good,” Vermeulen notes. “Even after so many years of not racing, you still see those things. But it is first and foremost a hobby. That makes it extra fun for all of us. We can learn a lot, while Jos is enjoying the job,” he concludes.
