Since returning to competition on Sunday, Klay Thompson played 3 games, absent last night due to the back-to-back in Chicago since he played against the Bucks on Thursday. Thursday he notably passed a new stage of the plan in place for a return to normal playing time. This second step against the Bucks was to play 10 minutes in a row in the 3rd quarter, a first since his return since he was previously limited to 20 minutes per game.
The 3rd stage of the plan is to increase his playing time for the first time and it will be for Sunday. Steve Kerr announced yesterday that against Wolves he should no longer be limited to 20, but to around 24 minutes.
We do not know the details of the plan, but it is rumored that the objective is to very very gradually increase his playing time so that he no longer has a limitation at the end of the regular season for the playoffs.
